Mac app giveaway #1 DropZone
Having recently lost my Mac virginity obviously there were a lot of new apps to find, download and explore.
As I installed, found useful and kept apps along this vast exploration into the Mac world (which is such a long week so far) I also sent off some emails asking if the developers would be kind enough to give some licenses away on Styletime.
So without further ado I present Mac App Giveaway #1 DropZone.

Ooh – a useful Mac app that I don't have…
The MacHeist bundle that I purchased several months ago has some killer apps, but this would round out my suite of “everyday programs” nicely.
Dropzone looks like a useful app.
N.B. Not to be confused with Wesley Snipes' 1994 macho action fantasy movie of the same name. That was more flop than drop.

I will make it short and to the point
windows server, raid failure, 3 days of tech support, unable to fix, recommendation: send to drive recovery, cost $5000+
real solution: plug drives into a mac, copy files to external drive, copy back to server

Congrats on owning a Mac! After switching two years ago myself, computers became fun again.
Soooo, 3 employees, one from Microsoft, one from Sun, and one from Apple are in a restroom, at the urinals. When the Microsoft employee is done he washes his hands, and dries his hands completely with 10 paper towels. “At Microsoft,” he says, “we're very thorough.” The Sun employee finishes, washes his hands, and dries them with 1 paper towel. “At Sun we're very thorough AND very efficient.” To the chagrin of the two other men, the Apple engineer leaves without washing his hands – and says “At Apple, we don't pee on our hands.”
